The Irish Club of Regina
The Irish Club of Regina was originally established as the “South Saskatchewan Irish Club” in the mid 1900’s as a group to allow Irish people and people of Irish decent to work together to preserve Irish Culture in Regina. We’ve expanded since then and now anyone who is interested in learning more about Irish culture is welcome to become a member! We have members of all cultural backgrounds who share in a love of Irish music, dance, literature, art and every other facet of Irish Culture!
We also currently actively run an Irish Dance group. The group meets every Tuesday and Wednesday at the College Avenue Campus. The focus of the group is to preserve and encourage Irish dancing in Regina. We work on basic Irish Dance technique and members are encouraged to participate as much as they feel they are able to! We perform locally and are always willing to get new dancers into the act! Check our Dance Page.
We also run a variety of events throughout the year, including our St. Patrick’s Day supper, Christmas Party, Family BBQ as well as the Irish Pavilion at Mosaic, Regina’s Multicultural Festival.
We hope that you will come out and get to know us! We’re always on the lookout for new members who can bring their knowledge and enthusiasm out and help us expand our club and Irish culture within Regina!
